THE TEA OF MERCY: TIE GUAN YIN

In our Virtual Tea Classes service we are offering 3 varieties of Autumn Harvest Tie Guan Yin 2021 we have received directly from Fujian, China. 

Tie Guan Yin is a classic oolong tea from Fujian province. The legend says that its origins honor the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Goddess of Mercy.

The legend is about a farmer that committed to worship and polish the statue of the Guan Yin Goddess at the temple every day after his hard work.

One night the Goddess appeared in his dreams and told the farmer to search for a treasure behind the temple. The farmer founded a tea plant, he planted it and started producing a lot of tea of which qualities could cause healing miracles. Thanks to this holy production his village, Anxi, became a destination for faithful people, and still nowadays it is one of the most famous villages for high quality tea in China.
